Legalized medical cannabis is now available in Maryland. It has been a complex process to get to this point. There are many questions about how it works, who can access it, and what is the process. These steps will be discussed as will a review of the data to help guide appropriate use. Opioids still have a place in therapy. And, there are rapidly changing guidelines about that place and how it is to be used. Not everyone who takes an opioid will encounter issues with addiction. But, what is happening for those who do?
