Founded by the Sisters of Mercy, and an affiliate of Mercy Health Services, Stella Maris is one of the largest skilled nursing facilities in Central Maryland.

Stella Maris offers a comprehensive range of health and senior services for the community. Our offerings include both inpatient hospice care and home hospice care, having established one of the first hospice programs in Baltimore County and all of Maryland. Additional services include short-term  and outpatient rehabilitation, home health and personal care, respite care, and adult day care, located at our Timonium-Lutherville campus, just a short drive from Baltimore City.

Health services at Stella Maris are complemented by counseling, bereavement services and pastoral care.
