Fredric S. Sirkis, M.D. has joined Stella Maris as Chief Medical Officer

March 11, 2014 - Head shots of Stella Maris staff and supporters.Fredric S. Sirkis, M.D. has joined Stella Maris as Chief Medical Officer for the 400 bed long-term care facility. Dr. Sirkis is board certified in internal and geriatric medicines and has been in practice since 1981. He has served as an attending physician at various nursing homes in the Baltimore area and was staff physician at a local retirement community prior to joining Stella Maris.

“Dr. Sirkis has extensive experience supervising medical care in the long-term care arena,” said Sr. M. Karen McNally, RSM, Chief Administrative Officer of Stella Maris, Inc. “We are pleased that he joins our team and brings with him considerable knowledge in geriatrics.”

Dr. Sirkis earned his medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine, Baltimore. He completed his residency training in internal medicine at Mercy Hospital in Baltimore. Dr. Sirkis is a member of The American Geriatrics Society and American Medical Directors Association and resides in Fallston, Md.
